Soho House has everything an urban executive or media luvvie could wish for: a cinema, games room, views across the Hudson, a good restaurant and heated swimming pool on the roof. But you have to be a member to take advantage of all of its fabulous facilities. The restaurant is open all day and has striking views over downtown Manhattan and the veal chop with Roquefort butter is utterly divine. Wall-lined with a celeb and media crowd.

Had my wedding reception here, everything was outstanding, Kevin Spacey was also in the club at the same time!

It is run by the same people as the Soho House group in the UK (including Shoreditch House, Babington House et al).
Prefer Shoreditch House in London (as it's around the corner from where I live, and that pool is amazing on summer days).

I'm not quite sure I understand what use this review is to someone from the UK if you have to be a member to use the facilities. Does that mean there's coinslots on the doors to the loo?

It was featured in sex and the city and lives up to its name. Gorgeous rooftop bar and in the best location in Manhatten. Got to love it.
