New York is currently undergoing several large and small projects designed to create a greener and more sustainable urban ecology. The recent conversion of the High Line, an abandoned elevated railway line, into an urban park, is one such project, joining the renovation of Washington Square Park, a new pedestrian-friendly Times Square, and a city program to plan a million new trees. Plans are in the works to link other areas of Broadway through a network of pedestrian walkways and many new bike lanes.

Thanks Terry. I forgot about some of these places.
